OFF TOPIC -- Why is it that we are so much more civil here at SI? I started looking at Yahoo board a few weeks ago, and it seemed like a civil spot. Suddenly it has turned into a madhouse. It got me thinking, are we more civil because we are older (yahoo posters don't seem to be younger, though it's hard to judge age by posts). Or is it because there is a fee for using SI? I wonder. Granted we are not totaly tolerant of opposing ideas either; when I said we should sell TDFX at 18, I got into some hot water. But those flames were civil (no name calling, no cap. letter shouting,...). SI posters are also much more knowledgeable (both on investing and on technical issues) and are more deligent in finding relevant news (I always hear it here first). Seeing other boards, I wanted to thank everyone here for being such good netizens. Sun"having a slow and grateful day"Tzu P.S Can anyone calculate the beta and alpha for TDFX. I think that the beta is still negative but decreasing, and the alpha is increasing.
