>>What does it matter though that the U.S.A.'s enemies are now enjoying watching our Pres. being pulverized politically...

Wrong. The enemies of the US want him in power. After all, they put him in power. Witness all that illegal cash he got from the totalitarian Chinese for missile technology and anti-human rights policy changes.

>>The Republicans might be surprised, however,... this entire episode could have an interesting backlash that they least expect.

Keep hoping against hope. That will not happen in measurable form, as the Republicans will have a historic, sweeping victory. And it can only get worse for the Dems from this point forward.

>>I for one plan to vote Democratic for the foreseeable future(even though I've been a registered Republican for the past 14 yrs). I refuse to help further the aims of people who are so filled with hate. ....they're the ones who pose the most danger to our country.

That was never in doubt. I remember your ridiculous defense of Slick on the ASND and Cisco threads at the beginning. You are even more ridiculous now. You prove Slick will never lose the gutter vote, no matter what the evidence.

btw, public opinion is less a factor than you think. If Congress finds Slick committed impeachable offenses then the Constitution requires ("shall") that the Senate vote to remove him. And I better advise you that anyone who knows Judge Starr's history knows that he would not make assertions of impeachable offenses unless they are proven by absolutely overwhelming evidence.

There will also be indictments and a report to the three judge panel on Clinton's other crimes.
