Gary

you might want to re check your fido commissions

the $14.95/$17.50 minimum should be for the first 1000 shares (in the same stock), not trade
so your first 500 would be charged the $14.95, the second 500 would be free
after that it is a per share charge
the same $14.95 total for a single 1000 share trade or 10 - 100 share trades

also if you are a very active trader and push high up in the org, you can hammer them into a major discount below that

I average maybe 15 trades a day and have my commissions well under a penny a share total if I trade over about 2000 shares (subject to the $14.95 initial miniumum); beats most all other brokers out there

the per share charge is great if you trade one or two stocks over and over again in the same day, or buy and sell in pieces

I'm curious why you trade in person, although their net site sucks big time the newer 32 bit trading program works super for me, fast and great fills, could you share more?
