Alan, TWEAKIU seems to be working for me now. Not quite sure why I had initial problems with it. Most likely needed to restart the computer and didn't do it before I started playing with TWEAKIU. Thanks for the suggestion.

Steve

Damn did I screw up now. Should have left well enough alone.

I was playing with TWEAKIU and the other Powertoys, and while I was at it changed my desktop a little by deleting some shortcuts, putting some stuff on the task bar, putting some stuff in the start menu, etc. Nothing major, I thought.

But now...

When I connect to the internet thru dial up networking, and before I launch MSIE, I get a prompt to enter my Windows user name and password that I never got before. It doesn't seem to matter as I can hit OK or cancel without entering anything and I still connect OK. But then once I launch the browser and try to connect to websites like SI, the browser used to store all my user names and passwords. It doesn't now and I don't even get the little checkbox to have the option to store the passwords. These have just been stored for so long I don't even remember the names and passwords to most sites. It took me several tries to remember them to log in here.

Anybody any idea what I screwed up? TIA.
