MMMMMM to add to my point. I have no idea at exactly what price AMAT is cheap, nor intel. But I think the market as a whole is still expensive given the risks. Why would either of these stocks be on a top ten list of investment opps given further global collapse. Especially AMAT, whose fortunes are absolutely tied to the health of the world monetary system as it sells rather expensive items, seldom bought for cash. Also, hasn't real demand for memory somewhat been left in the dust by the ramp up to 64K dram, and the 256k future doesn't seem so far away. surely 16 x increase in memory, from a similar production scenario, (that's not even taking to accont other effieancies) far outpaces demand, and less capital equipment will be needed for the forseable future. Isn't it just possible that we have confused a mature business, in an extemely growth sensitive era..... just musing....

Larry,
Thanks for the article, maybe others will now start to understand
that this "Asian Contagion" has gone from the "sniffles" state to
the "aching muscles" state and will likely go to the "high fever"
bedridden state. I don't see any short/mid term recovery of exports
to Asian economies any time soon since they just don't have or need
growth expansion capability until things are once again under control.

Regards,
BB
