To those who still don't believe the shorting . . . some convincing arguments . . .

I took a random survey of companies. I chose the leisure/recreation group as listed under Yahoo, comprised of 38 companies. Below you will find them listed with the following marks: ticker symbol, exchange, average volume, and float.

In comparison to the below numbers, keep in mind that JAWS has a float of 3.3 million and an estimated daily volume of 700k (starting in March - the first month and a half (Jan.-Feb.) traded only 200k shares total and was before the company had even put out any press release). The 700k average is a guesstimate based on volume from March to this week. Take a look at the volume charts for yourself to confirm that this is a reasonable approximation. Certainly in the last month, it has probably been considerably higher.

Anyway, I think it is very worth noting that no company even comes CLOSE to the trading figures on JAWS. Those with floats near JAWS generally average under 50k for volume. PTET, SAMC and ADGO are interesting but I still don't believe compare. The remaining companies show a distinctly different reflection on volume and float. The three largest average volumes were 427k, 457k and 852k on floats of 130M, 85M and 66M respectively (BTW, yes that is correct, Harley Davidson trades 427k on a float of 130M). If there is anyone here that believes the trading in JAWS has even come remotely close to reflecing anything honest, I submit the following data. I certainly am very comfortable arguing that the volume is the result of massive short selling that is about to set up a vicious short squeeze. As I have said all along, 3.3 million floats simply don't trade like this. This thing is trading quite well for a 15 million share float. After looking at the below numbers, you might even conclude it is trading well for a THIRTY million float. Notice the smooth progression of average volume and floats as you progress down the list.

12 companies at <5M float averaged volume of 45k.
13 companies at 5-10M float averaged volume of 118k.
10 companies at >10M float averaged volume of 233k.

My personal opinion is that you can stick a fork in the shorts. They are done. The companies below are listed in order of float size.
