Doug, Bernard--glad to see you folks picking right up on zebraspot's call for a little less 'irrational exuberance' on this thread. Yikes, so you guys are in the single digit territory, and not even high singles?
I ain't smart enough to pick a fight with both you guys at once, but what would your response be if, let's just say, there was heavy insider buying on Friday?
Isn't $10/share fairly disastrous already? You don't have to convince me that blowing up 12 birds and incurring a 4,5,6 month delay in start of service together with an attendant 1/2 billion dollar cost is bad news. I'm way on board with that. This was one major bummer, no argument.
Launch vehicle reliability has resurfaced in a big way for the whole industry--the risks with the current generation of launchers seems higher than what everyone--including Bernard Schwartz--believed. Then, we've got the Leonid shower in November which if nothing else will be a negative PR event for satellites. So it's not like I'm a wild-eyed optimist.
But you have to be awfully certain that you can sell at 10 or 11 in order to buy back in at 5 or 6. You know I think you are both smart hombres, make your case for 5 or 6. [plus this way I absolutely KNOW Maurice will go wild] :-) Best, Mike Doyle

Don't you think that with a successful launch of 4 sats in November, the stock will begin to climb again? I too believe we will see single digits over the next several weeks but I don't believe it will go much below 8. Also, it is possible that 10 will hold but the action on Friday doesn't suggest it will.

It Iridium can launch their sats then G* can also so it's still a matter of when not if.
