I think one factor certainly is many people not really understanding CIEN the company. I mean how many people could there possibly be on WS who really know CIEN, and do not simple see a sales growth rate, a net margin and a EPS growth rate coming onto some stock screen list... until recently? So the "surprise" is big...

My feeling is that with complex products like CIEN and TLAB are selling, price is not the only factor that a customer is looking at. These are not commodity type of products I would expect. But if it's not price, then what is it??? Maybe we should lurk around AT&T message boards??

a very simple, plain and obvious fact is that - the nature of this market, in many cases, does not have reasonable nor meaningful share prices based on companys' actual valuation
