Not true. You need to put the questions asked in context. Clinton was giving SWORN testimony in a law suit about his sexual behavior. That's why those questions were asked.

In that context, the questions were relevant and important. And they needed to be answered truthfully.

<<It was a setup. >>

How come people who do not sexually harass their subordinates most often do not get set up? Vast conspiracy to let all honest people off the hook? Why honest people better than criminals? We're all human ...

Hey Jon-boy, you said:

"Some situations you are just forced to lie about in life and this was certainly one of them"

Did you say the word "lie"? Are you then admitting the lie in the deposition? Clinton would be very disappointed in you. You were supposed to say "mislead, but was legally correct".

How many of these "situations" will this guy get himself into?

A Court, in fact the US Supreme Court decided it could be asked and it was. Get over it. All he had to do was answer honestly and most Americans (myself included would have forgiven him and moved on). A perjurer can not remain in the WH. Nixon could not. Clinton can not. JLA

The question wasn't asked of a sitting president. He was leaning against the bathroom door...

correction--my mistake. You are obviously referring to the phone calls to congress. Ahhhh! Standard male behaviour!

john,

first of all, it was relevant to paula jones' case. does clinton have make a habit of having sex with those that work for him?

"absolute value of honest?" you appear to be dellusional as william jefferson clinton is an inbred liar. he lied for years about gennifer until put on the stand. he lied about tax cuts to get elected, he lied about monica for 7+ months. he's probably lied to his wife about his "thousands" of affairs for his whole married life. he lied about not inhaling. he lies about darn near anything that would put his image in jeopardy.

as for times to lie under oath? yes, there are times to lie under oath. the only caveat is that you must be willing to have felony perjury charges brought up against you if caught. as president, you also must be willing to face impeachment charges.

bill clinton is no victim. he's an active participant in a very nasty game and he is losing right now.
