Re -- This president has had little impact on our economy

Do you call resolution of the Mexican Crisis (thro IMF) NO IMPACT? Do you call selection of Greenspan as FED Chief and thus indirectly influencing MONETARY POLICY by agreeing with the Philosophy of Greenspan to keep inflation in control NO IMPACT.. During the Budget battle with Congress when the U.S Debt could have been in default, finding a way to work around it, NO IMPACT.

You guys who dislike Clinton should Thank him for being the captain of the ship and fattening your wallets.

OT RE: Clinton and the Economy

You will recall that Clinton was attacked in the last election for imposing the largest tax increase in human history. Some economists believe that that tax increase extended the life of the bull market by reducing the need for monetary restrictions and also contributed to generating the current budget surpluses. True, it was aimed largely at the rich, and, as expected, they complained bitterly. It didn't hit me.
