Clint and Jim,

Be careful with the telecom equipment stocks.

TLAB announced expected flat revenues for the Q. This
is to be expected given that sales in Europe are
usually slow this Q. Conference call at 1-800-633-8284,
#4716955. I have not heard it yet.

NT announced some layoff on Friday. This is part of trying
to get better efficiency in their manufacturing as far
as I can tell. I have mentioned before that some of
their product lines are seeing margin pressure.

In last Q's earning I think AFCI or CIEN mentioned that their
DSO's were higher because the carriers were delaying paying
longer than usual. This may indicate cash flow pressure for
the carriers.

A slow down in spending in Latin America and the Far East is
anticipated.

There are some indications of a slow down in spending.on
telecom. It is too early to say if it is a trend. The 4th
Q is traditionaly strong for the telecom equipment
companies.

Harry

Hey Clint,
I was wondering where you were off to these days. You must be busy since we rarely see you about these days. Don't tell me you have an actual day job! Anyway I agree with you about your targets. Looks like a pretty good rally last week continuing for at least this options week. I'm still hoping for a retest of the lows in Oct when I hope to get on board bigtime. I like your picks but I wanted to ask about one of them. LGTO appears to be impervious to any bear market sentiments out there. It trades at an extremely high p/e, is near its all time high, and just goes higher. Do you understand this stock. Obviously the street must sincerely love this stock. It looks like a tempting short at some point, but maybe that's playing with fire. How much higher can the stock and its p/e go? Amazing how this week all of Clinton's troubles as well as international events have simply disappeared off the screens!

Incidentally, are you familiar with Jerry Favors? A technical wizard he called this correction on the nose. Now he says we rally and then go back under 7000 if you can believe it? I'm pretty impressed with him so far and considering subscribing to his words of wisdom.

I had a great summer stockwise but haven't done much in a while and need to get back that feeling. Good luck yourself and don't work too hard, or they'll think us stock slackers are lazy @:).

CLint, I'm inclined to agree with you on market direction and the magnitude of the next move. The market is very deeply oversold. I think you have to like the financial stocks here also.
