By the way the F word is actually an acronym developed long after the above mentioned story. It's
breakdown is:

For
Unlawful
Carnal
Knowledge

I don't think you are correct on this one. Any dictionary will tell you f**k is taken from Middle English fucken (a Germanic verb meaning to "to strike, move quickly, to penetrate"). There is also some references to the Middle Dutch work fokken. (I personally think it had to be from the Dutch <g>).

The "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" was the name of some heavy metal band's album from the 80's. It sounds quite juvenile to me and I doubt it goes back much further than that.

That was one of those cases where ignorance was bliss. I much preferred the story to the truth.
