cnbc confirms what you mentioned abut Nettles not wanting to sell now. He plans to build up business perhaps down the road a business venture between tlab and cien. It looks like both need help now. Kiss these stocks good bye for awhile.... John

imo, CSCO + CIEN is very possible; note the key point of CSCO products such as 12000 integration with ciena dwdm devices; this is where csco can really compete with the telecom giants

That's the different between ASND and CSCO. ASND likes to buy falling knives. ASND is more like a risk-taker, and it seems more likely that ASND will go alone. But I do agree CIEN won't agree with any deal less than $30.
