Greg,
Don't forget that Dell counts anyone who browses the web site and subsequently purchases as a web sale. I can imagine a lot of telephone sales converted to web sales by a simple referral to the web site. It may be difficult to compare internet sales company to company because of bookkeeping differences. Is this conventional accounting in Direct Marketing?

The DM industry is certainly impressed with Dell's performance, #1 in catalog sales, and so am I. All I'm pointing out is that the web sales may not be so neatly circumscribed as we might think.

Regards,
Stewart

GM,

If memory serves, $5 million of Dell's $6 million daily online sales are US-based. Can't recall just where I read this.
