You got to be kidding me. He does not have the right to invoke all those priveledges, just like all the courts ruled. Just the mere fact that he used all the "powers of the office of presidency" to try and hide this is a solid basis for abuse of power. These priviledges were instituted for national security purposes, not sexual liasons in the "once coveted, now ridiculed" oval office (now known as the oval bedroom).

There is no excuse for these claims of priviledges other than total conceit. I won't even go into the lies upon lies he told in both depositions and straight into our eyes. If I lied in a chicken shit lawsuit that I thought was meritless, and was caught, I would be prosecuted--you can bet on that. He should not be any better, especially in light of the way he has apparently handled himself--he should really be worse.

Mr. Dougin,
With all due respect, I think you and many others here are missing the TRUE severity of this situation. Mr. Clinton has shown repeatedly that he puts his self-interest above the interest of the nation and in my opinion he is continuing down that road now. Regardless of the legalities, he has shown himself to be unfit to lead. If the American
people would get over the "Democrat versus Republican" and get out of soap opera land maybe they would see just exactly what the danger here is.
I greatly distrust the majority of the politicians in this country, but (call me sick), I actually think that the majority of Congress
(House and Senate) realize the severity of the situation and will work together to best resolve this regardless of what the polls say. The founding fathers truly did set up a wonderful model of government and it is time to let it work.
Libertarian,
