<<Hope that clears it up for you. The two people who were fired were mistreated by their employers, not the sexual harassment statutes. >>

how can you say this??? is it CLEARLY stated in the employees handbook that the examples I showed WOULD BE CAUSE for termination..

again, I don't know if these people had already been warned.. and I know I'd rather have employers keep their employees in line anyway...

dirty jokes and people asking each other out on dates just doesn't belong in the workplace... their actions may not consitute "sexual harrassment" ... but they aren't tolerated...

are you then defending Clinton saying that his actions would not deserve or demand being fired if he worked for say, IBM or GE???

are you saying that the woman who was discharged from the armed forces early last year for having a sexual relationship with another armed forces person and then lying about it should NOT have been discharged??

sorry I'm reading into your statement... but truly you speak without authority... I see no "obvious overreaction" by my employers...

if employers start giving a little ... and letting things slide.. next thing you know... employees will be watching porn videos on their lunch break or putting up pictures of playboy in their offices... I'm sure that happens somewhere... but I'm glad to say that the VAST MAJORITY of the workplace DOES NOT TOLERATE ANY SUCH NONSENSE...

I still am waiting for someone to tell me why the president should NOT be fired from office for his acts on company premises?? if not, then why is it that the VAST MAJORITY of companies have a ZERO TOLERANCE level for any sexual innuendos or anything even closely resembling content or actions of a sexual nature...

should the OVAL OFFICE be held to the highest standards???

again, maybe you were just commenting on my examples and nothing more... but even to that... you still, in my opinion didn't make a very wise statement... I believe I cited my reasons..
nothing personal of course... as we're all here just chatting and sharing our thoughts... take care bud!
