A reverse merger is simply the process of an entrepreneur or privately-held company, in this case TCBG, becoming public by merging w/ an existing publicly-held company. Usually the existing company, here apparently Savant Biotech according to your information, is basically out of business, a shell company of sorts. The acquiring company, TCBG, changes the focus of the shell...thus, the name change is reflective of the new line of business. BTW, I have no idea who Savant Biotech was, but I can only assume by the name that they were a research company in some start-up biotechnology field...and most likely making no money. This process is generally considered a backdoor approach of taking a company public.
