Ah, Bill Wexler,

I will venture to put my foot in it and say that I believe you are probably a Democrat, probably very liberal, and perhaps an agnostic. Which makes your response to the following post all the more interesting. Even if none of my assumptions are correct, I would be honored to have you comment on the following post. You see, even though I think you will be surprised by some of the Y2K problems, I still believe you are intelligent. But you, like me, have a belief system that sometimes clouds our ability to see things in a truly unbiased manner. Y2K aside, please give me your response, sir, to this post, because Americans in general seem to have responded with "I could give a rat's ass", which gives me a greater confidence in my belief system and where I see the next months to years taking the peoples of this planet. Thank you in advance. I remain, SOROS.

Bill -

I think Yardeni is a smart guy. He also happens to be wrong about Y2K.

This is another perfect example of how some intelligent people fall apart when they leave the bounds of their field of expertise.

Minor detail... Yardeni may be an economist now, but at one point he was a BAL (Assembler) programmer.

Granted, most economists are completely clueless to potential Y2K issues.

- David
