Cisco, Lucent and Nortel are all down. I think the market is still spooked by the TLab announcement.

Beach this is becoming just like Bay used to be stock action wise. I fear we have brought our "better technology" but no sales or stock price rewards to the Mother company. I have yet to bail but then I am not very smart. I have no idea what is happening with this stock but I am now in the loss column in NT. I dont think the entire sell off in NT can be explained by Tellabs earnings warning but who the hell knows in this wild market. I see all these positive press releases on NT just like we used to see on Bay and the stock action is very much like Bay's used to be ,,,down ...I bought bay originally because I thought it was the least over valued of the networkers. Now, NT seems to be the least over valued of the Telcom equips ,,,well sometimes you get what you pay for in Techonlogy ,,,ie Cisco obviously was the more prudent buy three years ago when I bought Bay , and perhaps Nortel will suffer the same fate? Sure its pe and psr are way under those of Lucent and Cisco but look at whose stock is making the shareholders money.
depressed and fraught with uncertainty,,,George

The change is due to Fear which spreads like wild fire. The Analysts and the merger digestion are now adding fuel.

After the shorts have eased there will be a basing and a buying opportunity but expectations must be tempered.
