Do you think Bob Dole would have taken the strong stand that BC has against an anti abortion congress? Once again he pushed NAFTA through something his two Republican predecessors could not do.He has stood his ground in the face of a possible trade war with China on the software piracy issue. All of the RR fans on this thread claim that his tax cuts were what brought the economy around during his term. Well, BC raised taxes did he not? The economy is stronger inflation is lower unemployment is also lower.Mayb there is no correlation [on the other hand this may have kept the economy cool in the glow of low interest rstes]Quite frankly it is a bit annoying to hear Republicans give RR credit for every thing good that occurred under his watch but every thing that happens good under BC's leadership is not his doing .All of a sudden the Presidency is impotent [himmm] .Please remember that when the next Republican candidate claims what he will do for the economy. Agree or disagree on Bosnia you cannot say he has done nothing.You give credit to the capitalists for this economy. Well then lets assume that you gave these same capitalists credit when your Republican Presidents were in power.After all they were around and kicking when BC came into power .How come they weren't so effective then? pez
