Pfizer said it will start selling the drug in Sweden, the U.K. and the Netherlands within weeks, after non-EU Switzerland cleared Viagra in June. The value of sales in the 373 million- people region will depend on whether European governments let national health services meet the costs, analysts said. ''The key in Europe is going to be reimbursement,'' said independent analyst Hemant Shah before the announcement. The approval to sell Viagra, which will also be launched in France, Germany and the rest of EU by November, comes after U.S. prescriptions for the treatment fell to about 168,000 a week after topping 250,000 in June, according to IMS Health Inc. Viagra's U.S. introduction was the most lucrative for any drug with $411 million in sales in its first three months. Pfizer declined to give any sales expectations for Viagra, though Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Executive Vice President Victor Micati told reporters in Brussels the company expects to ''see the type of usage that we've seen in the U.S.'' From a Bloomberg update: quote.bloomberg.com

ahp/Immunex article on their FDA presentation tomorrow for their RA drug. thestreet.com Anthony, don't you think you are making a short story on Viagra into something too long to be useful? You are making it hard to read this thread. The number of post to this thread, about Viagra, have gone up and up but it may be time to let them drop down softly. Seems like you are trying to stick a round peg into a square hole. Yes it will go in, while a square peg might not, but it just might not belong there. This is not the Vigara board. Yes this board is your thing and I guess, on second thought, that if you want to play around with it that's o.k. with me. But come clean, do you own stock in PFE? <g>
