One should read it if they are going to discuss it. The position on slavery in the Bible is a very interesting but demanding view. You would have to be willing to study to understand, not just shoot from the hip of your opinion.

The Bible does not condone slavery and neither do I. The Bible simply acknowledges that it occurs. Like all sin it is a source of sorrow for God. Slavery on Earth however would be a blessing compared to Eternity separated from God.
