SLR..take that for an example.. It seem that everyone pounced on SLR like locusts because they 'smelled' a stock that will perhap rise and give back some lost gains. Every stock with decent earnings is a potential safe haven for funds and investors. It was upgraded in one hour and was one of the 'darlings' of the street today. Why, because it beat the street by one cent? It closed close to the high of the day.

How long has LGTO, VRTS, risen when they would have been successful shorts 7 points ago? Even these small stocks like the oil service, foreign banks, foreign telecommunications. It's like a massive crusade from sector to sector looking for the holy grail, "THE SAFE STOCK or SECTOR".. When one sector fails to provide that asylum, another sector is chosen.. We have to keep on top of the various sectors, what will be next? The Brazilian Funds? The Argentinian Banks? Hong Kong Funds? Whatever, ...

Since there is a finite number of sectors, the search will be cyclical and most sectors will have their chance to shine for a time.. And hey, if one sector collapses entirely (financials, brokerages) then the ravens feed on the carcasses until all vestiges of profit are exploited. Then just when the sector thinks it will rise like a Phoenix from the ashes and resume its glory, it gets kicked in the gut again.

Don't sit on the sidelines until someone determines who is KING just partake of the feast, and find out where the next party will be.
