I recall a quote from Apple's design team saying how the iMac was "the least interesting thing they were working on."

I decided to buy a G3 desktop rather than an iMac because a) I have a large investment in legacy peripherals and b) my office is so cluttered and butch that the iMac's styling would've gotten lost anyway.

I am awaiting w/interest the portable iMac. I anticipate it will take on 2400c/eMate proportions but I would love if it took on more of a Newton 2000 form factor.

Off-topic: IMO, the nation is supporting (a censured) Clinton staying in office, but that wont stop Republicans from milking this for all its worth -- strengthening their hold on House/Senate and using the confusion to savage every social program they can.

I just hope Congress has the brains to move effectively on IMF funding and (per Soros) related measures to create international agencies to stabilize emerging markets.

Cheap protection, IMO.
