>Try dealing with myriads of other historic examples as well. Kennedy had far more affairs in the White House. Martin Leuther King had multiple affairs at the very time he was delivering his famously stirring and history changing speeches. I could go on and on.<

These men, unlike Clinton, were arguably simply flawed. Clinton is corrupt and he is a corrupter, and herein lies the difference.

<< He has, in the judgment of the great majority of the public, performed very well>>

What is it that he has done so well? What accomplishments should we be giving him credit for? Bosnia is at war again, and the Middle East is about to re-erupt. India and Pakistan now have tested nuclear weapons, and Iran is massing for was with Afghanistan. Iraq no longer feels it's necessary to allow inspections, and the world economy is collapsing. Not exactly Clinton's fault, but he hasn't been a great world leader. The economy and Clinton's effect (or lack of effect) has been beaten into the ground on this and other threads. Social policy has been shaped more by the Republicans than the Democrats (welfare reform, attacks on bilingual education and affirmative action, etc.) although the increase in minimum wage and a lack of tax cuts are definitely attributable to Clinton. The balanced budget (such as it is) was a Republican issue, and was passed by them. What has Clinton done?
