Dougjn,

Great post. You have stated with precision what I have felt about this case for many months. That the conduct of the prosecution and its supporters is actually worse than any of the actions or alleged perjury of the president. It makes a mockery of the legal system. It makes a mockery of the grand jury.

Grand jury testimony is supposed to be secret but now we have congress publishing to the world this prurient report without cross examination. It means that the promises of the grand jury have been nullified.

His counsel could have made a motion for a protective order. They did not. Clinton elected to go ahead and lie. I also disagree that the matter was collateral. If he has a history of bedding subordinates, I think that is relevant in this type of case. It goes to Clinton's credibility upon denial. JLA
