Cycle times:
Yes, they have. Guess what, it's been six months and no new retail product. It doesn't appear that we will see a new one at all this year. (That'll make it at least 10 months.) The last OEM product was a year ago. If they are reducing cycle times, we aren't getting our money's worth.

I think they said a new product every 6 months not a new retail product every 6 months. We'll get Banshee now, and 6 months after we should see a new (retail?) product (Rampage or a 2TMU Banshee? Who knows.)

They want to have two lines, OEM and retail. Probably both will be on 1 year schedules, staggered to give us something new every 6 months.

If so, then so far so good.

Simon

Patrick: how do you know this?

TNT was produced in about six months with half the R&D of 3dfx. Say what you will about their marketing/management, the technical team certainly can execute.

Where did you learn when they began developing TNT?

V2 shipped in February. Banshee is on the shelf in Europe. Someone on Yahoo reported both Guillemot and Miro to be available. V2 is a (small scale) OEM product.

TnT did not go from inception to market in 6 months. They publicly announced it's features to bite into V2 sales 6 months ago.

Why are you upset management didn't tell you personally of earnings problems? There's no way they can do this. Pre-PR drops not withstanding.
