SAP product is a Data warehousing product known as Business Information Warehouse. SAP introduced the product at its users conference in LA. Within BIW, SAP has an automatic extraction capability that invades that space HYSL is playing in. Known as Infocubes, an OLAP engine for MD analysis and reporting, this product is now where as strong as what HYSL has to offer.

Chuck Phillips noted in a report issued today that "users needing a fast implementation, a lot of non-R/3 data, fast calculation times and replication across multiple sites will probably stick with a third-party product" like HYSL...he also mentioned that "SAP hasn't seen a need to jump into the database market full force and probably wouldn't be credible if it did."
