brees, Thank you very much for your input. I am trying to go slow here on purpose because I need to go slow to understand, and in order for our audience to have a simplier picture. I said this is how you are saved; "My contention to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior is; 1. You must know you are a sinner. 2. You must know you need reconciliation to God for that sin. 3. You must Christ is the only reconciliation for that sin. 4. You must tell Christ you accept these premises and that Christ is the only way to be saved." You said, "I'll make a stab at this one. We Muslims do believe in Jesus in a sense. We love him and have no choice in the matter as Muslims. So, it amazes me that when I talk to Christians, they never get off of their defensive platform. We believe he is a messenger of God and that those of his followers chosen to receive his message are bound to follow it as their path to heaven. We have scripture in the Quran on Jesus and on Mary. We believe in the authenticated scripture on Jesus and are bound to it. If you took all of the information written about Jesus by some very enthusiastic followers out of the new testament and just included the information directly attributed to what Jesus did and reported that God had instructed him to say, you would have something close to the scriptures in the Quran. So, yes this is the path to salvation. But, you Christians add so much on top, we have to pull up the reigns and say, no way." So our you saying someone could be saved by the plan of salvation I laid out, pure and simple? Nothing more, nothing on top! Or am I reading your post wrong....it wouldn't be the first time I did that! Let me know...... And thanks again for the input! Steve
