So what. Has Hyde committed perjury, obstruction, etc.? I think in going after Hyde they may be going "a bridge too far." I have the sense that he is universally liked across both sides of the aisle. Maybe some backlash will occur. JLA

Henry Hyde, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee has issued a memo defining "scortched-earth policy" previously threatened by the Clintonoids as OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE.

The White House officially stated that any person(s) smearing the members of the Judiciary Committee will be fired (sic!).

The above was reported by Peter Jennings on ABC Evening News.// CA

Observation: Blackmail as one more instrument of official policy.

MOM FATALLY SHOOTS DAUGHTER, HERSELF; NEIGHBORS: CLINTON SCANDAL HAD UPSET HER

A divorced Orlando homemaker who was starting a new life killed her 10-year-old daughter and then fatally shot herself last Friday after telling a neighbor that the White House sex scandal was distressing her, the ORLANDO SENTINEL is reporting.

The paper describes how Synthia Lynne Caamano, 33, 1238 Appleton Ave., and her daughter, Rachel, were remembered as newcomers eager to fit into the quiet neighborhood off Summerlin Avenue.

"Distraught over a divorce early this year, Caamano found solace in her only child and her new home, which she was remodeling, neighbors said. Neighbor Judy Newlin said Caamano knocked on her door at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, cried when discussing her depression and mentioned that the White House sex scandal was distressing her."

"She was disturbed about the political situation, President Clinton's troubles and how it might affect her daughter, Rachel," Newlin tells the SENTINEL.

Caamano, a part-time Walt Disney World ticket attendant, had moved to Orlando from Groveland, where she had lived with her husband of 12 years, Michael John Caamano.
