Re: Split

I'm not anticipating a split any time soon. EMC is an emerging blue chip and I think management will be content to allow the stock to trade in a more blue chip price range than before. With nearly 500 million shares outstanding there is no liquidity need to consider a split at this point. As a result, I don't think we'll see another split until we're well north of 100. Given EMC's current growth rate that should hold us for another year or so.

Hmmmmmmmmm. Think they would have to authorize new shares for a 2 for 1 but not for a 3 for 2, but not sure.

The rumor is they are making truck loads of money and each quarter
they need bigger trucks! Usually good for stock prices.

I believe it tanked to near 44 weeks ago, but only for a day or two,
what a missed opportunity that was.

I'd rather see a token dividend before another stock split.

I like the 'north of 100' talk in any case.

Thanks EMC.
