thanks Christian. I didn't get a timed out message, but the customer service guy said the order, which was for a measly (though round lot size) 100 shares, could get killed. Since I split the bid and ask, and my ask was higher than the previous trade, a trade at that price would have resulted in an uptick. I just think they are BS'ing me because their system has a glitch, and I'm going to slap somebody around.
