Hi Herm,

Got on board for the TNSI submarine ride with 5 17.5 October puts late yesterday. Checked it out once today and thought we were preparing to dive! Got home after work and saw that it gained 1 1/4! It's time will come..soon I think.
Had a pleasant surprise with BTGC gaining 1 1/4 also. My chart must be set up differently than yours, because it is only about midpoint between the upper and lower band, with the RSI on an upward slant. My interpretation of that is that it still has some upside left. I am a rookie at these charts, so please set me straight. Thanks again for your timely comments. Jim

Herm: I have a couple of put situations that I would like to reduce my potential losses on. I have ENVY Oct 20 long puts @ 1 7/8 and BFT Oct 15 long puts @ 1 1/8. I would be interested in hearing what repairs would you make if you had these puts?

Dennis

Herm, LDG is making me crazy.

I was sitting in front of my RT quote screen today around 3:30 EST (12:30 where I am), ready to pull the trigger at 37 1/8, when it suddenly sprinted to $38!

I have a sneaky suspicion the MM's are going to close this one at or slightly above $40 on Friday. Then let it drop next week. I'll hold my position until Friday, sell at or above $40, and load up with another 35 cheap puts @ 3/8 or less, (for a total of 50). That'll leave me naked 15 Oct $40 calls, naked 50 Oct 30 puts, and a $1,500 profit on the stk.

On another pullback to $37 I can B/E on the calls, sell the puts for 13/16 or so and collect $4,062.50 -- leaving me with a profit of $1,400 after commissions.

The alternative is to just sell the calls, sell 35 puts and I'm totally out. Keep the remaining 15 puts for further downside profits since I'll be at no further risk of my capital. If the stk pauses at $38 next week, I'm dumping everything for a B/E and count my blessings.

What do you think?

Herm, TNSI Oct puts look mighty cheap!

I see you're still bearish. I'm thinking about another 14 puts at the open tomorrow at 9/16. That'll reduce my basis to 3/4.

Good move or not?

CIV potential bear trap!

I shorted 300 CIV today at 22 1/4. Looks like a potential bear trap on Friday.
With no recent news it's hugging the upper band with an RSI of 80! Check it out:
