I think Newt is going to fail a morality acid test too.

He also never apologized with specificity. He just acknowldged he was "sorry to mislead". He should've apologized for:

1) his earlier speech to America waving his finger
2) his lying to his cabinet and having them go out and speak on his behalf
3) his lying to Democratic congressman and having them go out and speak on his behalf
4) his lying to his aides and counsel and having them speak out on media
5) his lying to aides and staff, and having them go to grand jury
...and the list goes on

A blanket apology does nothing to show that he is facing up to his specific misdeeds and how he is going to make these right.

The "sin" of adultery (your words) was no secret among the members of Congress. The sin I concern myself with is the perjury and obstruction, points which you fail to address except to say they are small and forgivable in your opinion. JLA

>>It is no great act of courage to fess up now,<<

So would you agree it is time for Clinton to fess up to having sexual relations with Monika?

This insignificant and most petty of crimes has polarized and halted the nation. I agree Clinton has waited too long to act in a courageous manner. Perhaps he does not know how.
