This Alomex/IanBruce thread has gotten way out of hand.

IanBruce has a point about ad buying--it's very localized. Business Week will run the same content in NYC and Edmonton, but each magazine will have different ads. Relevance to AAPL thread: it's hard to generalize on Apple's overall ad penetration simply by looking at local versions of national or international media.

Alomex has a point about the blurred line between the Canadian and U.S. economy. Canada is the U.S.'s largest trading partner, by far, yet its economic importance to the U.S. is seldom acknowledged by the U.S. media. And Canada's economic figures are often inexplicitly included in the U.S.'s. Relevance to AAPL thread: Mac sales in Canada are more probably important than Mac sales in Japan, but sorting the numbers out is difficult.

Let's leave it at that, and move on.
