Yes, very very interesting. I remember this happened with Dell in April 97. I came home after the mkt had a terrible day and Dell was up 5 pts.We all know what happened subsequently..

To Doug: You seem to be able to gauge market moves and act on them. Wish you well with that. Re the Q itself, there are a few factors which could be positive for the Q. The SEC approval of the LWIN spin off. (a foregone conclusion, but in our current world, a sigh of relief for any regulatory approval) The announcement by Nortel re a real operational roll out for CDMA in China. Major breakthrough IMO - was beginning to wonder if Ericy "influence" there might actually keep GSM alone as a system in full operation. The PCS conference. That the Q's earnings for this quarter is closer every day - assume will be after Oct triple witching per usual. More? Chaz PS But I for one do not think any fundamental news matters in this emotional market - so puzzled. Suspect none of this real world stuff has anything to do with relatively good Q performance this morning. What do you think?
