Nortel (www.nortel.com), a leading global

solutions, will demonstrate two IP Telephony
applications that have been architected
around Brooktrout's TR2001 Series IP
Telephony Universal Port(TM) platform:
-- Internet Voice Button, an exciting new
web service that lets consumers
initiate immediate voice connections with
businesses simply by clicking
a button on the company's web page.
Internet Voice Button bridges the
Internet and public switched telephone
network to put real-time voice
capability on World Wide Web Pages.
-- Internet Call Waiting, a unique application
for residential users that
pops up a notification screen to notify them
of an upcoming voice call,
and provides various options for handling the
call.
Inter-Tel, (www.inter-tel.com) a single point
of contact, full service provider of digital
business telephone systems, IP telephony
products, CTI applications, voice processing
software and long distance calling services,
will unveil and demonstrate software
enhancements to its Vocal'Net IP telephony
gateway. Using Brooktrout's TR114(TM)
multichannel fax boards, the H.323-compliant
Inter-Tel Vocal'Net combines high-quality
voice and fax transmissions with all the
applications carriers and NextGen Telcos
need to manage, administer and market IP
telephony services.
Voice & Data Systems (www.iservice.ca), a
recognized leader in the development of
systems that deliver true real-time fax over
data networks, will demonstrate its newly
announced iService(TM), a suite of services
that add convenience, cost savings and
privacy to business communications. The
company will show two components in the
suite that are based on Brooktrout's TR114
multichannel analog and digital fax boards
including,
-- iService RealFax(TM), which allows PC
users to send electronic
documents as fax in real-time over the
Internet to any destination fax
machine worldwide; and
-- iService RealMESSAGE(TM), which
forwards both faxes and voice messages
received at a single personal telephone
number to a subscriber's email
mailbox, with the voice and fax messages
appearing as file attachments.
And InVADE (www.invade.net), a rapidly
growing company which has brought a radical
approach to computer telephony, will
demonstrate InVADE(TM), a hardware
independent, intelligent software switch
which runs on any Microsoft Windows
NT(TM) server. The company will show a
hybrid solution that delivers the best of the
traditional telephony and data networking
worlds. Using conventional PC telephony
technology from PIKA Technologies to
connect phones to the system, they use IP
telephony, mediated by Brooktrout's TR2001
Series platform transported over Symbol
Technologies Spectrum 24(R)-based wireless
LAN to deliver real-time, full duplex voice
calls to hand-held "cell" phones -- Symbol's
latest NetVision(R) Wireless Phones -- and to
H.323 compliant PC applications.
Brooktrout's IP Telephony product line
includes a suite of standards-based software

services for the rapidly emerging Internet
