Larry:

I suspect many of these apologists for corruption on the part of the President of the United States are pushing or protecting some sort of hidden agenda.

I see a lot of the same attitude on threads where the subject stock has taken a severe beating and continues to slide. Those who are under water on the long side keep bleating about how great the company is, how many multi-million-dollar contracts they have "on the CEO's desk," and the lack of competition, never once willing to admit they might have been wrong. Inevitably they blame the short-sellers for driving the stock down, they threaten to file suits against the shorts, and in general they refuse to listen to the reasons the stock is now worth pennies on the dollar.

I think it has to do with basic pride. They refuse to admit their mistake and buy more as the price sinks to new lows, all in a vain effort to salvage their own self-esteem.

I agree with all you say there Larry, however, I don't think he's qualified to run a used car agency...not to mention incapable of it. <g>
