There are still some old un-reformed Nazis around who think that Hitler was right in spite of all evidence. Maybe the Clintonoids have the same brain structure ...//CA

Rick-

Yes, you probably have part of it. If people took a good look at the sleazebag they've elected to the most powerful elected office in the world, they probably have to admit their own faulty judgement.

But I think there is something more, and I find it more odious. For example, lorrie coey [post 4831] lauded the World's Smartest Bitch for her "courage" because "she beat the boys at their own game". [lorrie did not respond when I asked her what "game" she had in mind] Of course, this magnificent display of courage was simply furthering her own career and enriching herself through crooked dealings- to portray that as a laudable effort of courage is a bit fanciful. But lorrie apparently gets some vicarious thrill out of seeing a woman prevail in the practice of law and rigged commodities trading. Seeing a "liberated" woman succeed at cheating with the best of them- and basically getting away with it- somehow benefits lorrie, at least in her mind, even though corrupt politicians of Clinton's ilk have been ripping off the little guy [of whom I suspect lorrie is one] for, well as long as there have been politicians. I suspect if a man whom she did not admire did the same thing as did her heroine, lorrie would think the guy deserved a nice stretch in the pen.

I find it quite curious that even though lorrie [presumably] does not benefit personally from the Clintons' thievery and corrupt abuse of power, she is happy to gloss over it because it offers her some sense of vicarious satisfaction. Of course, the lorries of this world make it possible for such phonies as Sleazebag Bill and his lovely lil' lady to succeed and prosper. Bill and Hillary are to the world of statecraft what Jim and Tammie Baker were to the world of Christianity- and I gather Jim and Tammie still have their legions of admirers.

I realize I've rambled at bit here without coming to any conclusion, but I'm groping for some psychological insight into a mind set that is so very different from my own. At least with the Bakers, people are [or were] using their own $$ to sustain such sleazebags. With the Clintons, we're are all affected. The "bill" for this administration has only begun to be paid, IMO.
