Dave,

How many times have you gone to a meeting and after two hours of heated discussion it can be truly said that no decisions were made and everyone has to leave for another appointment. Where I get into trouble is at that point I would say - ok, now that we have all had our say, what are we going to do.

Well, the managers in charge now get nervous and suddenly have to face the situation. Now, in such a situation am I a cynic or a realist.

Another way of saying it is that - a Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the results to be different.different.

A second way is one a previous boss of mine used to say if no one challenges a situation how are things ever going to get better.

Some problems seem to be immortal. Unless such problems are confronted by cynics - they are never solved.

Last week the market indicated some prospect of settlement with MAC. At the end of the week the price was back to .07. Phils' train is still at the station. The engineer is still working on future travel plans.

Cynical Bob

Only when I make people stop talking about problems and realize that some real decisions have to made.
