God has a plan and He is very capable of carrying without a bunch of Christian rabble-rousers gumming up the works! I would like your explanation of a "Christian rabble rouser" . your idea of God's plan does not include using you in any way? So attempting to save lives is "gumming up the works"? I sure hope you don't work in an ER!! The Romans also considered Christians "rabblerousers" didn't they. Matt. 10:16 I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. what do you suppose Jesus meant when He said this? The world is on a one-way trip through Revelation and I am just trusting God to carry me along. PSSSSSTT.... I have news for you. The whole message of the revelation? WE WIN!!!! The rest of you ol boys sitting around watching the world go by writing great volumes of books and literature and speechs and updates of the end times.. yada yada yada,......Read some of the following: (Mat 20:1 NIV) "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men towork in his vinyard. ((hired men to do what?? sit in His vinyard??)) (Mat 25:16 NIV) The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. ((he sit on his money??)) (Rom 16:12 NIV) Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, those women who work hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis, another woman who has worked very hard in the Lord. ((think these women just let God "carry them along" or do you suppose they prayed, and worked like they believed their prayers were answered?)) Many many others I could show, without even going to James!! How about "the harvest is ripe, but workers are few" ? or how about the disciples when they chose a replacement for Judas? they prayed , then did what?? walked out of the room knowing that God chose the new disciple and he would follow them out?? NO !! Acts 1:24 Then they prayed, "Lord, you know everyone's heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen 25 to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs." 26 Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles. THEY TOOK AN ACTION!!!a Godly action evidently. I wish you well on your crusade of self directed causes. So you have God's direction on this, knowing that the cause of life preservation is only "self directed" by myself? Is your well wishing sort of like "be warm, be filled, don't worry, be happy"? So you have no God directed causes? Do we just sit back in Oklahoma and watch the sky?? Bury our talent in the sand til Jesus returns?(Matt. 25:18-) Santiago, I have asked you some hard questions here. Not one is asked in malice. They are asked in sincerity. You know these scriptures, and could have posted them just as easily as I did. My bottom line question is this. Why do you asume there is no action in Christianity? God bless our children. dan
