Christine, I could not agree more.

Different subject...Why is it I can never listen to that song "Tears in Heaven" without balling like a baby!

Every time I think about those poor parents coming home and finding out their baby walked off that balcony it really really gets to me. Boy, what a nightmare that must have been. And you can really feel the pain that father is going through in that song.

I wonder if woman feel that message the same way that men do.

I couldn't imagine.

I guess it's kinda silly to have a song hit you like that huh?

Michael

Christine,

<<I just don't think he has any dignity or integrity, qualities I value in leaders.>>

Perhaps I am too cynical, but the notion of an American politician with dignity or integrity is wildly laughable to me. The entire system is set up to ensure that anybody with those qualities is removed in the early going. What we frequently see is the illusion of dignity and integrity, which politicians go to great lengths to present, using techniques derived from advertising and show business. In most cases the illusion lasts only until someone bothers to puncture the balloon. In the past there was a tacit agreement not to puncture, which has now been altered. Good luck looking for d&i in the near future.

As for LBJ's contrition, it struck me as about as authentic as Swaggart's. Just more coached, rehearsed, ad business. No authenticity there whatsoever. Though I suppose Swaggart was sorry - sorry he got caught.
