All the secrecy did make me wonder whether they really thought the competitors would be completely in the dark. I guess maybe there is some of that but at least he was up front in saying that the real reason was making sure we didn't wait till the next best thing. As far as fastest 2D, I don't know about you but I was truly impressed by what they delivered. Everything in hardware, null driver, first shot out. Granted 2D is viewed as a commodity but TDFX jumped in cold and delivered one of the best performing parts out there. Some reviews have it in top, some don't. I for one cannot complain about what I've seen. They have a quality board, at a great price, that will play all the games out there. If they play smart and provide quality service to the OEM's, TDFX will have one significant advantage over their competition. The ability to continue to maintain their margins and thus remain profitable. Joe C.
