Re: Technology Roadmap There is important advantage of publishing a technology roadmap that has not been discussed here. Yes, it may delay some of 3DFX's customers to wait for the next product. HOWEVER, IT WILL ALSO DELAY SOME OF THE COMPETITOR'S CUSTOMERS TO WAIT FOR 3DFX'S PRODUCTS. Even when Intel's competitors narrowed the technology gap, people and the press didn't care, because they were too busy discussing the next Intel cpu due a few months later. If 3DFX's technology roadmap was published, most people wouldn't bother with the TNT. They would either pick-up Banshee now or wait for Banshee2. Also, keep in mind that Banshee is planned for the OEM market. How many people will delay buying a new computer system a few months just to get the next video card? (Present company excluded:) Joel
