<<I the president is impeached and the markets go down I will personally begin an anti-republican voting campaign. I hate politics and I've never voted in my life. However, if one party is directly responsible for ruining my retirement, I will have to do something. >>

I'll tell you what you can do - grow up!

So the Republicans, the minute they heard you were an non voter and big time investor, came down en masse from DC and f***ed up your retirement! Clinton of course is not responsible for any of this. Now you're a on a mission from God - a one man political Charles Bronson.

Hey, man - take this lame, pathetic kvetching to the crybaby thread.

And I thought SI had real smart people as members...
imo Mark, what you should do is you should take out all your money from the market and spend it all on starting your 'anti-republican campaign', because it is going to be wasted anyway. You may even want to update your resume, you may get a call to become the next president. let us know how that goes.

Take some time to look at options trading, buy some puts, short the stock... regardless of which way the market is going, theres money to be made on every swing.

Guys, if the president is impeached (won't happen), the market MAY fall, but not for long. The market has risen NOT because he is president, but because he hasn't messed with major Business-Related initiatives that a TYPICAL Democratic President WOULD have.
That trend would resume post-assumed-impeachment.
