Bill: I favor resignation as a quicker means to the correct end but impeachment if necessary. I think it could be dangerous to have a wounded President in for all the months it may take to conclude an impeachment. Hopefully, Clinton will put the nation ahead of his own personal interests. After all, he may have grown up a little in the past few eeks. If I had to bet on it though, I'd say he goes down fighting. JLA

There have been too many tests and they have served to weakened the Presidency and draw this thing out. The selfish stance of a President is not worthy. A test in this hyped arena would not be in the best interest of the nation. Should the President survive the test what will the effects be on the criminal justice system? His crimes will have been officially sanctioned.
