(Affirmative action comes to mind). Most of those programs, if they were ever useful, have outlived their usefulness and should be abolished now. But, 2 wrongs dont make a right and it looks to me (without the benefit of first hand knowledge) that the republicans have latched onto social engineering with the same zeal and fervor that the dems ever did.
