Sun, I refer to old-time sailing ships. When the storm was driving
towards shore, they would try to gain as much sea room as possible,
because the ship is hard to control in a storm and
being driven onto the rocks might sink the ship and drown the
sailors. They would also take down most sails, leaving only
a few up to maintain steering. Maybe my analogy has gone
too far.<G>

PS: adherents of the Point&Figure method of TA celebrated
the reversal of the NYSE bullish % last week. All it means
is that more NYSE stocks have a buy signal.
