Jim, what info leads you to believe Sherlock is a browsing technology and not just a find applet that allows you to search the internet or your disk - within the default browser.

I'm sure your familiar with Win95/98 find applet. When you run your mouse over find on start menu you get pop up menu containing searches on your network and disk, local disk only, internet and people on internet. Single clicking on internet leads you to a general search page where you can choose the search item and choose search options including all of the major search engines.

My impression of Sherlock is that it's quite similar except perhaps you can enter search query and then choose as options internet, local disk, network or all. That would seem a bit better than choosing search options first and then the query as MS has set it up. Either way I would expect Sherlock to function within the default browser. Rich
