.but at some point the
business becomes a "replacement" market business
and the stocks will be priced accordingly...ie
1-2 times revenues and under 10x earnings...

but the key point is when some point is.

I would say its when games companies stop making games that require more and more processing power and enhanced graphics compared to previous versions.
I would say its when when application software companies stop making
software that eats more and more CPU and disc space.
I would say its when databases can no longer store more and more
detailed data because there is no more to store.
I would say its when databases stop storing more and more complex data
and require increased processing power to manipulate it.
I would say its when when people stop inventing new technologies that
replace old ones such as DVD and full screen video and and and.
I would say its when speech recognition, AI, intelligent agents are
commonplace and can't be improved any more.
ALL THIS AND
a competitor to Dell finally emulates its business model and puts it in place with all the concomitant losses in the meantime

when you think this point will be. I speculate it will not
be for a few years yet like maybe 5 to 10.

IMO Buffett does play dumb and folksy at times. I bet he understands MSFT, which I agree is more up his alley, being ubiquitous and increasingly inevitable.

Why hasnt Buffet bought MSFT? It's not too hard to understand? Is it?
